When is an election
Federal elections are held on a Monday. If Monday is a holiday, it will be held on a Tuesday. The Prime Minister decides when to hold an election.
Time

8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. (Manitoba).

Other provinces may have different times.

Elections Canada. The Chief Electoral Officer.

A Riding or a Constituency
Who can vote
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen
  • Must be 18 years or older
