Parliament has three parts

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11 is the Head of State. The Governor General of Canada is the Queen's representative in Canada. Canadians elect representatives to the House of Commons. The elected representatives are called Members of Parliament ( MPs) The people who serve in The Senate are chosen by the Prime Minister and appointed by the Governor General. They are called senators. The Prime Minister is the leader of the political party with the most elected members of Parliament sitting in the House of Commons. |
