Every possible voter
is recorded in each area. Their name is put on the VOTER'S LIST.
Enumerators
come to your home and ask for the names of people over 18 years
old and are Canadian citizens.
They give you a copy of the
names that they write down.
All of the recorded voters are
on the Voter's List for each area. *It is your responsibility to
check to see if your name is on the list.
If your name is not on the list,
you can phone Elections Canada Office to have your name put on it.
The phone number will be in the newspaper or on TV.
In a Federal election a Notice
of Enumeration is mailed to you. This card tells you that your name
is on the Voter's List.
If you will be away on Election
Day you can vote early. (Advance Voting)
